What kind of apples do you use? Golden delicious, or something harder?

I'm in love with apples, and what could be better than chocolate dipped apples sprinkled with pecans?? Try it, you'll be addicted. I make up a batch every few days. :) And for the above batch I dipped some bananas as well.
