My SLP friends may be the only ones to appreciate this, but today Boo said her first final consonant. I will admit to being a little nervous about Boo's speech development. She has a lot of words...they just all sound the same. But today was a breakthrough - she put on 's' on the end of her 'please'. I couldn't be happier.
In the words of Monk, "It's a blessing....and a curse." You have what it takes to get your little one talking but...what if she doesn't?!
ReplyDeleteHurrah for Brooke! Breathe easy mom. Soon enough she'll be telling you "No" (if she isn't already) and then when you won't allow dessert for breakfast, she'll blast you with, "You're Mean! I don't like you!" :)

Mark my words. The problem will never be getting her to talk, or even talk well. It will be getting her to stop.
ReplyDeleteAfter all, she does have Hall blood in her.
Good work, Brooke! Scott still says 'mee' for please. That's my boy. he is almost 2. ;)
